Who is eligible for benefits?

All full-time employees working 30+ hours a week are eligible for benefits. To see a full list of benefits, navigate to our benefits page here.

How do I enroll in benefits?

Once you become eligible for benefit election (30 days after your date of hire), you will be contacted by Human Resources and provided step-by-step direction on enrollment.

When do my benefits take effect?

Benefit elections go into effect on the 1st of the month following your 60th day of employment.

Ex. Melissa was hired 1/1, she received her eligibility email 1/30 and enrolled.

Her benefits became effective 03/01.

Can I rollover my 401k account from my previous employer?

Where can I find my Employee Handbook?

Employee handbooks are located in the "Employee Corner" tab at the top of the menu.

I'm locked out of Self-Service, what do I do?

If you become locked out of self service, and the password reset link is unavailable, you will need to contact HR to reset your account. You may call HR at 509-459-5300.

Where do I update personal information such as emergency contacts?

Self Service! You may log into your VISTA Self Service account and click "My Info" and choose which information you would like to update.

How do I enroll in or update my direct deposit information?

If you did not provide direct deposit information at the time of hire, you will need to complete the direct deposit form here and submit it to Payroll. (Please note: all direct deposit updates will be confirmed as legitimate prior to processing.)

How do I clock in and out for work?

If you are an hourly employee, you must use NOVAtime to clock in and out of your shifts.

Salary employees will use NOVAtime to submit their non-worked hours (vacation, sick, etc.)

Please note: if you are a manager, you have a different access link and may contact payroll directly for that.

What is the payroll schedule?

All Cowles Company and affiliate employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis. To access the current Payroll Calendar, click here.
